- Rated 4 out of 5by DWatts, 5 months agoIt's great! I love that I can right click on things, as well as the shortcut key.
My only issue is that I would love to search from opening a new tab and typing in the search bar. Like I currently use for Google. Is this possible? - Rated 3 out of 5by Hofi, 7 months agoBeautiful, almost properly working, handy extension, congrats!
Unfortunately,
- it opens a double chat with chatGPT (i guess the 2nd one is some kind of a helper one, and does not delete it after having the final result)
- it does not add a name to the opened new chat (suggest to name it after the search query)
5 start and donation ;) will go immediately if you could fix these issues and add support for automatic chatGPT search results injection next to the search engine result list on the most common web search pages!

Thanks for the quick reply!
I'm waiting for the fix, hope you will be able to solve that.
Regarding the main feature.
I'm a bit confused here, the only hotkey assignable option is the "Open modal window" which is available only on the FF "about:addons / Extensions / Manage Extension Shortcuts" page, the other 2 settings page options "Context menu click will open" and "Toolbar icon click will open" has no assignable hotkey option unfortunately, so your comment about "(in my case in a new window)." is a bit confusing here.
Apart from that, could you please enhance the hotkey settings to be able to use a hotkey to open in "New tab", not just in a modal window?
Regarding the integration with the search results page.
What about requesting more permission for the extension at installation, explaining to the users why it is needed, and also adding an option to enter the user's API key, so that if the user has the proper subscription, it could work?Developer response
posted 7 months agoHello,
This is only a super simple addon that pre-fills the input and most things you see is doing ChatGPT page :).
But actually this is really terrible, it will submit the query too quickly and that will trigger some crazy bug in their page causing two or more history items to be created...
I'll try to fix this in upcoming days!
The main feature I use is the "Alt + i" shortcut that opens it (in my case in a new window).
Regarding the integration with the search results page, this is sadly not possible since my addon doesn't have permission to alter other pages.
Also, it can't work in background, that would require using their official API which is not free.
I'm sorry for the bad news :(

- Rated 4 out of 5by theta30, a year agoQuite useful and simple addon with a nice interface. But the author doesn't explain much how it works and doesn't communicate. I had to figure out by myself what %s is, but still don't know what %f is.

posted a year agoHello,
I'm sorry for the delay :), I have a lot of work with my other addons currently.
The explanation for %s and %f can be seen in the Settings page / Context menu options / (?) - the question-mark icon.
I should have probably write it on a better place.
Also, with this addon you can access your previous queries by pressing arrow UP, which can be super handy :).
