- Rated 3 out of 5by nobody1023, 10 days agoNearly everything about it works like a charm, however the layout of video recs & the comment section is still the current layout.
Not sure whats causing it but its still annoying. :( - Rated 3 out of 5by Shitanotosaurus, 13 days agoneeds to be updated, as far as I can tell there is no way to switch back to the classic layout (youtube recently added a new layout which sucks)
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17275815, a month agoFixes the homepage but doesn't change the sub box layout. Also with this installed, I don't get the little 3 dots on the side of the video to be able to set it in Watch Later or to tell YouTube I don't want to be recommended the video/youtuber. 5 stars if both those issues are fixed.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18374167, 2 months agoRedux can't get rid of Youtube's newest UI disaster yet.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12680106, 2 months agoGenerally a very useful extension. Unfortunately, however, there is no way to restore the old arrangement of the video title and comments below the video instead of to the right.
- Rated 3 out of 5by J3ster, 2 months agoIt's fine, there's a bunch of options that allow you to customize youtube, but I installed it to get rid of awful new layout and it didn't work, so 3 stars from me.
- Rated 3 out of 5by SaishoVibes, 5 months agoReally good at replicating old youtube but it is near-unuseable with how laggy it makes it. I cannot run this extension properly, and I only got it for the "sort by oldest" feature
- Rated 3 out of 5by Ubam, 7 months agoUsed to be working until recently where on videos page, the view count and published date do not show up, with the UI elements all over the place
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 17943136, a year agoI got this hoping to undo the recent changes to how the subscription page is laid out, unfortunately that seems to be the one page this add on doesn't work on. It'd be an easy five stars if it did.
- Rated 3 out of 5by murphy, a year agoIronically, some of the things listed to be fixed with update V3.1.0 that I just got on Firefox are broken now, some of which weren't broken before:
1. "fixed subscribe button from being displayed incorrectly" - no idea what that means, but now it's white text on white ground ... genius
2. "fixed an issue with thumbnails scaling in channel pages" - still broken as it has been forever, keeps randomly switching between 2 and 3 thumbnail columns when there's plenty room for 4 (constant viewport size)
3. "fixed precise dislikes count not working" - ok but the video dislike button is still miscolored anyway, it's always been white instead of gray when it should only be white after a dislike (comment like/dislike buttons are even both generally white instead of gray)
At least the sort by "Oldest" button is finally back, so that's a big W!
Update 2023-06-06:
OH MY GOD now even the previously at least still usable subscription feed is suddenly down from 4 to 2 columns and looks abominable! PLEASE stop screwing up what has been working before ... STOP ... JUST STOP - Rated 3 out of 5by parfait1234, a year agoGreat but I wish that there was an option to keep youtube shorts on the home page. I get why people hate them, a large chunk of them are awful but my algorithm is fine tuned to only show me animal videos. It was pretty strong so it'll suck to lose them forever.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15061882, a year agoLovely addon, sadly it doesn't work that well on the lastest youtube shennanigens. Now there's an ekstra scrollbar with this addon active, what a shame.
- Rated 3 out of 5by ggrdns, a year agoUnfortunately seems to have an issue with memory leaks, since installing the add-on firefox routinely reaches 5gb+ RAM usage after a few hours, even without actively using it or having a video open.. initially noticed it after checking task manager following performance issues only to see firefox using over 20gb of RAM
Otherwise a great add-on, making youtube infinitely more usable, while being quite customizable.
Only an option to fully collapse the sidebar in general, not just on the homepage would be nice - Rated 3 out of 5by Avakining, 2 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by Jupee, 2 years agoStill awesome years later, love the regular updates, thanks!
Found some problems, with the player elements not showing correctly in cinema mode. Like video timer and subtitles not showing. And video progress bar and other elements not resizing correctly when switching between view modes. I'm fairly sure this is caused by 1440p resolution since when I move Firefox to my 1080p monitor and refresh the page, elements work fine.
19/4 Now cinema mode is totally broken, video goes over the borders, like it's trying to show it fullscreen. - Rated 3 out of 5by myedition8, 2 years ago
- Rated 3 out of 5by mashkook, 3 years agounfortunately doesn't work when YouTube redirects page to m.youtube.com.
i get my internet through my cell phone. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15901200, 3 years agoGreat Experience but doesn't override some of the more recent changes such as description box placements. I hope an update comes that changes that.
- Rated 3 out of 5by DON, 3 years agoYeah it used to be nicely separated in sections like "recommended for you", "popular in your country" or other topics. There is no grouping anymore, just an endless stream of thumbnails (in 6 columns, admittedly). Also the side panel used to be closed/minimised by default. The only thing that changed is that I updated the browser (and add-ons).

posted 3 years agoEdit to answer the edit: I haven't seen this sections myself for months. It's pretty much always been just a stream of thumbnails in Polymer for me. Same with the side panel being always open. Maybe you're using some other add-on/userscript that used to provide these features? - Rated 3 out of 5by Bosko Laska, 3 years agoThis is a good extension but when i try to change the logo on Firefox 56 it just dosen't work. Why!? Also please add more minor old features, like the like and dislike button.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Mephiston, 3 years agoIts decent enough, but it WILL NOT SAVE the number of videos in the main youtube screen. I set it to five, and it always defaults to 6, no matter how many times i reinstall the addon, or restart firefox. So just be aware it does have its issues.
Developer response
posted 3 years agoSome people noted that using the Refresh Firefox feature solved this issue. I have no idea why it happens as the extension's settings are simply stored in local storage but I'll see about moving it to extension API instead.
